July 5 - I am placing a photo that was given to me by Dan Brown, a photographer at Airborne. It shows me with two of my most indispensible sources of information in New York. Now, if only Jackie Peterson and Bill Hoffnagle were there, the gang would be complete. These guys, along with photo contributors John Rock and Mike Watts, are who keep me going every week. The Plattsburgh area of New York is very proud of their racing heritage and it shows. Today, I made sure the June 2010 archives were in place and made these few additions to the site. That, alone, will take over twenty -five minutes due to having to back up everything and deal with a persnickety web service provider. That's why more doesn't get done on the site. It used to take half the time. I also added the Column Page 50, a column that covered the famous Massachusetts airplane, and the 1959 Pontiac that so many people ran in the early to late 1960's up here. There is also quite a section on the massive New Hampshire driver Ronnie Marvin, the most perfect villain outside of pro wrestling.

July 12 - I am placing a photo from the
Rutland Herald onto the page devoted to
Races at the Rutland Fair. This
shows the highly - unusual SCODA cars that raced in the 1950's through the
1960's. I also placed a few new shots in the Devil's
Bowl Page - either see the link marked "Cars After the '70's Pavement was
Gone" or go to the bottom of the page.
