April 1 - Archived the site. Today, we lost Dave Morse, a long - time Vermont sports reporter who supported stock car racing strongly. Ol' Dave was a wonderful man and I will miss him at Thunder Road greatly.

April 3 -
I have been helping Ken Squier, each opening race at Thunder Road, with a list
he uses to let fans know of the passing of important racing poeple from the
period since the closing of the track in October to its re-opening in May. This
year's list was looking mercifully small until recently. Now, yesterday, I have
heard from the Rounds family that we have lost
New Hampshire's Buddy Bardwell. I knew Buddy, and this is another one that hits
very hard. He drove the last actually - used Hudson race car in the country. In
a big coincidence, his sister was my next door neighbor, way up here in Swanton,
and I never would have known had Buddy not mentioned it.

April 4 - I have known about Buddy's passing for two days. Thanks to those who let me know. Host My Site has me on this old server and they tell me it is constantly acting up, which screws me in terms of updating anytime I want to. I'm not very happy with them but not technologically savvy enough to do anything about it. When I disppear for periods of time - it's usually for tech reasons.

- mostly from Fonda. This is a kind of milestone -
my 500th page
! Boy, do I need a life ! On a sadder note, I am beginning to hate this month. I
just learned we have lost Ted Vogel, Jr from a heart attack. Ted was a driver, a
car owner and a friend. My wishes go out to Ted Sr and the rest of the family. I
regret the mixed up information yesterday that led me to post his dad as having
passed.
April 6 -
In deference to the passing of Buddy
Bardwell, I have updated his page. It needed it.
April 7 -
I added some more entries to the page called
Peeking Back Into Those Early Days.
April 9 - I added some more entries to the page on Victoria Speedway.
April 10 - I added some more entries to the page on Racing Hudsons. I also got into one of the oldest pages on the site Catamount Bits in Time and added three more stories.
April 14 - Del Masse has been
sending me some great material on the Vermonster, a 1960's era local rail
dragster. I decided to break with the stock car focus and
do a page on The Vermonster
and Milton Speedway, seeing as it and Catamount had many common threads. Thanks
Del.
April 17 - Still working on upgrading the site. It may be inconsistent for a while.
April 19 - Upgrading to a better server on Host My Site is completed, but the problems continue. I believe this computer may end up in the shop. If not much changes on the site for an extended period - that is what is going on.
April 20 - I put up the latest blog - Weekly Blog April 20, 2015 - about Northern NASCAR's 1972 Rookie of the Year, Richie Panch. Thanks to my son for putting in most of his weekend on working kinks out of the computer. At the car show for Airborne Speedway I learned we had lost Wesley Mischler over the winter. Wes, immediately recognizable if you spent much time around Airborne, was a crewman for the Vic Wolfe 66 that Bob Bruno drove. I also added the rest of the material I have on The Vermonster and Milton Speedway.

April 24 - I got caught up in some New
York tracks roughly around the Finger Lakes region. I took the
Seneca Falls Speedway page and hugely
expanded it to include a
number of other tracks in that area. I also started a new page called
Accord Speedway after realizing it
really didn't qualify as being in the Finger Lakes region.
