Latest Update

Nov 2 -  Walt Ryan sends the unfortunate news that New England stock car legend Art Cody, who ran out of Keene, NH, has passed. I enclose a few photos of Art. I will archive, also.

Nov 4 -  After  considerable trouble, I have managed to get on the Weekly Blog, November 3 - about Harold Garstang and the Route66 Speedway, in Poestenkill, NY. My brother has made some suggestions that might solve some of these recent blog production problems.

Nov 6 -  After  looking at some of my oldest pages which have gone without update, I put the highly - interesting points standings from the 1955 season at Airborne on my Early NASCAR Point Standings page.

Nov 7 -  I added more entries to my Early NASCAR Point Standings page. This page will have more than just NASCAR points. Also, additions were made to the Catamount Moments page. These are not completed, but they show photos from those pre - Spring Green car shows they used to have at the Zayres Plaza and on Church Street, Burlington.

Nov 10 -  I have added the Weekly Blog, November 10 - about the recently - departed Art Cody.

Nov 17 -  I have added the Weekly Blog, November 17 - about strange stories of early racing [Part 2].

Nov 20 -  I added to the Coupe Competitors page and made some improvements.

Nov 25 -  A few of us Vermonters [including me, Steve McKnight, and Mike LaDuc, to name a few] made it to the Lost Race Tracks conference at the Saratoga Auto Museum yesterday. One of the more interesting items was this trophy, dated 1952, from a Montpelier Speedway. Does anyone know what the race track that was briefly in East Montpelier was called [if anything ?] The driver, Earl Guy, is not a familiar name to me. A blog will be coming when I can get to it - still attending family Thanksgiving get-togethers.

Nov 26 -  I have added the Weekly Blog, November 26 - about early days of stock car racing. They are different, again, from the previous two columns of similar themes.
