Aug 12 - This might be the latest have ever updated from one month to another. It's going to be like this for a while, as I just keep getting things thrown in my path including surgery. I have to acknowledge two more losses to the Vermont racing community: Ed "Peanut" Foley and Randy Chapin, a crew chief who probably more deserved Foley's nickname. Foley had a HOF - type career, beginning around 1961; and Chapin, a very small man, was crew chief to Joe Myers and then a number of prominent teams later on. I rooted for Foley; I knew Randy. Also, I have added a huge number of photos to the pagecalled Those Little New Hampshire Coupes. It is nowhere near done. [5 hours in it this time, so far] Problem is, the size of the page is causing some issues - like obviously, my letter fonts aren't cooperating. I can screw with that for hours or do something more constructive. I'd like to get another blog done, but it may not happen for a while as we will be on vacation soon.

Aug 14 - I wanted to get the latest blog in while I had some semblance of time to do it: Weekly Blog August 14, 2016 - Ray "Zero" Brown.
Aug 25 - I just got in from a few days with the bride in South Carolina. My friend Dan Kearney tells me we have lost prominent Vermont racing figure Bill Alsup, who was killed in an accident. Alsup, who made his money as a ski lift dealer and technician, went on to some amazing, and yet low budget, accomplishments in the CART series. The only time I ever saw him was when he arrived at Catamount Stadium [I think somehat unexpectedly] with a pretty wild - looking Pinto mod for a special modified show [maybe All Star League] they were having.
