Anyone know where this is - or why there is the strange mixture of car types ? From NY historian Dan Ody
It turns out to be Bouvrette Speedway, St. Jerome, QU

This shows the grandstands.
Compare them to the
Green Mt. Track.

Racing past some buildings
seem too close to the track
to be at a place designed
for cars.

This type of race car
does not fit with the
standard coupes
also seen on that
track.

Anyone know where this is - or why there is the strange mixture of car types ? From Middlebury College's Joseph Watson. My suspician is that
this is late 1940's, when tracks were often without infrastructure and open wheel cars raced on the same program with early stockers.

This shows early stock cars on a track in what looks like a pasture in the  Middlebury, VT area.

Another regular stock car,
same spot. Not sure if it oufitted with a cage or anything.

Sprinters or "big cars"
hightailing it off turn two.
There is an outside chance the yellow one is South Burlington,
VT native Jackie Peterson, who
was running cars like this at this time.

One of the clearest frames -
four cars can be made out
here.

Like so many informal tracks of that time, a look across the infield sees most of the spectators' cars parked right along the track.

One of the clearest frames -
the two lead cars are easy
to make out here.

Odd lighting in this one,

This is clear
