The familiar Swears coupe, then being

Allie Swears operated a NASCAR sportsman racing team out of the Glens Falls, New York region in the golden era of coupe racing in the Empire State. Swears doesn't get the recognition he deserves for what he accomplished with not too large a racing budget and no apparent sponsorship. Heck, several books don't even spell his name right [going with Swires instead of Swears].
The best - known Swears car was a Chevy coupe
which ran from around 1960 until its untimely demise at Fairmont Speedway around
1964, in the hands of Dutch Reed. Swears also tried Daytona Speedweeks a couple
of times, as well. If I have any inaccurate information on this page, I will
probably get it straightened out by Allie Sr. or Jr., who have emailed me at
times.
