Fonda Speedway
Fonda, New York

     One of the most spectacular successes in the history of using fairgrounds racetracks as stock car arena is Fonda Speedway. Today's version of racing on the strangely - shaped half mile started in 1953, under the promotership of Ed Fuez and Jim Gage.
